国境を見に行く

　先週、北海道の知床と根室を４日間かけて旅しました。
中標津空港の端で左折してから知床ウトロまで、車で１時間ほど走っていましたが、信号が全くありませんでした。普通の道路なのに、ほとんどの車が８０キロ以上で走っているのです。本当に驚きました。
　この町から次の町まで、途中に駐車場もトイレもありません。ほとんどがこんな道で、森の中をひたすら走り続けるのです。
「スケールが大きい、これぞ北海道」とつくづく思いました。
　今回の旅の目的は、北方領土として国後島と歯舞諸島を見ることでした。
実際に見て、どんなことを考えるのだろう、どんな感動が湧いてくるんだろう、と興味津々でした。
　８月１４日。
　ウトロから観光船に乗り、約２時間。知床半島の端っこの向こうに国後島が見えてきました。胸を締め付けられるような痛みを感じ、涙がこみ上げてきました。「ここは北方領土。二度と日本には帰らない北方領土」。背中から加藤登紀子の「知床旅行」が流れ始めました。
とても悲しい気持ちになりました。
　次の日も、次の日も、また次の日も北方領土を見ます。見たくないと思っても、ついつい目に入ってしまいます。何故なら、これらの町の売りは「自分の町から北方領土が見られる」ことだからです。
　今、あちこちで戦争や紛争が起こっています。
なぜ人は殺し合うのか？なぜ人は憎み合うのか？
人間とは悲しい生き物です。　
　８月１５日。終戦記念日。
　ウトロ側から国後島を眺めました。
　８月１６日。
　納沙布岬から歯舞群島を眺めました。
　たった４キロ。
　私の家と会社の事務所の間よりも近い距離。
　手を振れば見える距離。
　空と海だけが穏やかでした。



Going Watching Border

I journeyed to Shiretoko and Nemuro in Hokkaido for 4 days last week.
There were no signals from turn left at the edge of Nakasibetsu Airport to Utoro Shiretoko in the car for 1 hour. In spite of the regular roads, almost all cars ran over 80 kilometers was huge surprised.
From this town to the next town there was no parking and rest room on the way. Almost all roads were like that. The roads merely continued through the forest.
Certainly, I think ' Big scale, this is Hokkaido'.
The purpose of this trip was to watch Kunashiri-tou and Habomai Shotou as Hoppou Ryoudo.'
When I watch them What I will think? What emotion will come? I was curious.
14th Aug. From Utoro I got on the sightseeing ship around 2 hours, Kunashiri-tou was appeared beyond the edge of Shiretoko peninsula. I felt a pain as if something was squeezing my chest, and tears began to well up. ‘This is Hoppou Ryoudo. that never return to Japan Hoppou Ryoudo. The music began back 'Shiretoko Ryojou' what sang by Kato Tokiko.
I felt quite sad.
Next day, next after the day and next I watch Hoppou Ryoudo. Even if I didn’t want to watch them my eyes have to come. Because these towns' sales point is ‘we can watch 'Hoppou Ryoudo from my town'.
Now, there are wars and conflict here and there.
Why do human kill each other? Why do humans hate each other?
Human is sadness being.
15th Aug. For Japanese Memorial Day.
I watched 'Kunashiri-tou' from Utoro side.
16th Aug. I watched 'Habomai Shotou' from 'Nossapumisaki'.
Just 4 kilometers away.
The distance is shorter than between my place and company office.
If you wave hand, you can see it.
Only the sky and sea were calm.
